Anahata Healing

I'm Nina, an energy healer and intuitive from Cape Town.

So, what IS energy healing?

It has become commonly accepted that everything is energy- even we are energetic beings. Our energy fields contain receptors (our chakras and aura) that connect us to the whole and respond to external and internal factors- both negative and positive, which can have an effect on our energy field.

Energy healing is the channeling of healing energy through the hands and heart chakra. Therefore it is not the healer's energy that is used, but rather the healer becomes a channel for divine energy to flow through him/her. The healer facilitates the client's inherent self-healing abilities.

Healing is holistic and treats the whole person- mind, body and spirit. It is non-invasive and non-intrusive and can be done either in the the presence of the patient, hands on or hands off or done distantly through visualization.

Energy healing is used to remove energy blockages and bring about healing on all levels- physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

Spiritual healing is offered as complementary to prescribed medical/psychological treatment rather than as an alternative.

I have been naturally drawn to the spiritual and metaphysical since a young age and have always had the ability to sense and perceive energies. I was brought up in a home where meditation, reiki, Tarot cards and I Ching oracles were the norm and was always fascinated by the mystical and esoteric.

As a healer I am able to channel healing energy in order to clear blockages and bring about improved energy flow throughout the body. I work predominantly clairsentiently, which means I am able to intuitively sense and feel the client’s energy, as well as receive certain senses and impressions in my own body which provide me with information about the energy I am working with, as well as guide me to work on the corresponding area of the client.

In 2015, I completed the School of Intuition and Healing’s two year energy healing course and received my internationally accredited certificate in Healing (with Merit), and was the youngest person ever to do so. I have completed the Introduction and Applied Metaphysics courses at MetaVarsity and am working towards my Metaphysical Practitioner accreditation, specialising in Intuitive Practitioning and Numerology.

I have a particular interest in Astrology and crystal healing and have worked in a crystal shop where I gained invaluable experience and a deep understanding of working with crystals and crystal energy. I hope to undertake formal studies in both these areas in future.

I am also the founder of the Cape Consciousness Collective- a social media forum I have created in order to establish a network of like-minded people in the Cape Town area. We aim to host talks, workshops etc. and provide a forum for people to keep up-to-date date with any spirit-related events, talks, courses, workshops etc. happening in Cape Town, to have an open forum where people can ask and discuss spirit related questions/matters and get input from knowledgeable people and to point those who are looking for any type of holistic therapy in the right direction.

I have a natural gift for working with people and a deep empathy and understanding of others. I particularly enjoy working with children and have had experience working as a special need’s facilitator and teacher’s assistant at a primary school.

I truly believe we are all incarnated onto this plane in order to be of service to others and the planet. Above all, I believe in unconditional love and compassion for all beings. Hence the name Anahata Healing, which is explained below:

Anahata (Sanskrit: अनाहत, IAST: Anāhata, English: "unstruck") is the Sanskrit name for the heart chakra, the centre of unconditional love and compassion and the bridge between
the physical and the spiritual realms

“It is the wellspring of love, warmth, compassion, and joy.
It is the center of your deep bonds with other beings, your sense of caring and compassion, your feelings of self-love, altruism, generosity, kindness, and respect.
Anahata is an integrating and unifying chakra - bringing to wholeness - as such, it is your healing center. Indeed, most spiritual traditions recognize love as the ultimate healing force.
The energy of anahata allows us to recognize that we are part of something larger, that we are interconnected within an intricate web of relationships extending through life and the universe.
Anahata allows us to recognize and get in touch with the sacred and fundamental truth that runs through all of life and connects everything together.

The "way of the heart" or the "path of the heart" is living your life from this energy center of love.
It means living your life with loving kindness and compassion towards others. It means that your heart is open to others and you inspire kindness and compassion in others. You create safe and supportive environment. Others can feel your love and warmth. They feel loved and accepted unconditionally. People feel at peace around you, as there is no judgment coming from you.”
