The Word Church

Much of our vision and calling is defined in what we believe, for we do what we are and we become what we worship. First there is a WORD, and then there is a WORK. The Word Church, is to be one of the many places of worship, which are called to be an expression of the Kingdom of God in Kimberley.
This Christ centered calling is stated and revealed throughout the Bible.
Romans 8 verse 1 says: therefore let us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ, advancing steadily towards the completeness and perfection that belongs to spiritual maturity.
We believe our calling is to bring maturity to the body of Christ. Many times the emphasis is on the new birth and baptism with the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the new testament church has been called to experience both but we believe we need to move on beyond this by building on it to go on to perfection or maturity.
This is to prepare the body of Christ to become His glorious Church in the earth.
Therefore such a new testament church is fundamental concerning the foundations of the blood atonement of Jesus Christ, repentance and faith, water and spirit baptism, the laying of hands, the resurrection of the dead, the various judgements, and the literal, bodily coming of the Lord, along with His many other comings.
At the Word Church we desire to be Biblical based and sound, walking in progressive revelation as God reveals it to us. Genuine prayer and worship in the spirit will cause us to become a house of prayer.
We desire to actively walk in the simplicity or singleness of the life in Jesus Christ.
We have a desire to be pure in character and conduct, understanding the holiness of God.
The fear of the Lord flows from a practical, daily relationship with and a love for God. The power of His new nature from within enables us to live right, not because we have to but because we want to and get to! Kingdom righteousness is positional by imputation and functional by impartation.
The kingdom is demonstrated through signs, wonders, miracles- the supernatural-are an important part of normal Bible Christianity. Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever. He continues to do and teach.
