With four en-suite double bedrooms including a large master suite in the main house, combined with an attached cottage with a double bed and twin beds upstairs, and a double bed and lounge downstairs it can comfortably accommodate 12. In addition the loft also has two sofa beds.

With its own small private beach The Tide House is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday, or as a base to explore the beautiful Garden Route of South Africa. The Tide House is the perfect location from which to explore the best of the Eastern Cape, or to just sit on the deck with friends and family and enjoy an evening braai and some drinks.

Equally suited to summer and winter The Tide House is very open plan allowing it to be opened up to benefit from the heat of summer, and also has an open fireplace with chimney and underfloor heating in the main house and master suite making it very comfortable for a visit in winter.

About an hour's drive west of Port Elizabeth lies the pretty holiday village of St. Francis Bay. The village is almost entirely made up of beautiful thatched cottages and is one of the Garden Routes most memorable locations. St. Francis is known for its quiet canals, huge lagoon and beautiful beach.

St. Francis Bay is a paradise for families and watersports enthusiasts: It boasts white sandy beaches and ideal conditions for surfing. In season - August to October - whales can be seen in the bay of St. Francis. The Tide House sits on the canal and is a short boat ride away from the lagoon at the entrance to the Kromme River, and veritable playground (for kids and adults) from low-mid tide.
