About Ballito…

Ballito is a small holiday town located in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. Ballito is situated roughly 40 kilometers north of Durban. It forms part of the KwaDukuza local Municipality, and iLembe District Municipality. Dolphins are common on this stretch of the North Coast shoreline, hence the nickname Dolphin Coast. (The South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal is also picturesquely named the Hibiscus Coast).

The Boathouse Hotel, Ballito is a four star guesthouse-hotel that offers conference, event and wedding facilities on the beach front of the idyllic Dolphin Coast. The new owners for The Boathouse are Jay Haripersadh and Vishal Haripersadh.

Thava Continental @ Ballito is the third branch of Thava Group of Restaurants. Other two restaurants are running successfully at Johannesburg, South Africa. Basically Thava is an Indian Restaurant and it has its roots in Kerala, India. Affectionately known as God’s own country, owner Mathew Abrahams’ origins in this picturesque part of the world inspired the warm, inviting atmosphere, friendly service and outstanding food. Thava Continental @ Ballito is running inside the beautiful four star Luxury Guesthouse, which is on the beach, known as The Boathouse.

Thava Continental @ Ballito specializes in Indian cuisine as well as Continental cuisine and prides itself on its use of the freshest local ingredients, aromatic dishes and, in a first for South Africa, its unique Indian Tapas offering – pure indulgence; perfect for sharing, perfect for experiencing.
