Sunset Teepee Retreat

Opened 2016, Arnie and Amy - young at heart created this TeePee Retreat - a gem of a camp with the most spectacular sunsets over the Swartberg mountains.

Sunset Teepee Retreat is a sanctuary away from the everyday humdrum of city life and the stress associated with it. The retreat is situated along the famous Garden Route area in the Western Cape, a mere 5km outside the town of Mossel Bay – A town famous for being a tourist haven with loads to see and do.

With its secluded bush setting, its unusual mix of dwellings (six Teepees: Bobby McGee, Mustang Sally, Hiawatha, Geronimo, Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull), and it extremely friendly hospitality – it provides an ideal setting for family vacations, group retreats, family reunions, commitment ceremonies, celebrations of life, workshops, team building exercises and other overnight events. Sunset Teepee Retreat is a magnificent place for the adventurous traveller looking for a unique lodging experience (without having to do without some luxury!).

Time takes on a different meaning out here – You can literally feel yourself unwind into a gentler pace, into the here and now of birds singing and the winds gently blowing through the trees and singing to your soul. If you sit still, you will experience nature’s calm and peacefulness.
