Following in the tyre tracks of the worldwide mobile food phenomenon, StrEAT Cuisine has hit the road revving. For the canteen-weary exec, there’s nothing more tempting than a breath of fresh air and a tantalising treat for the taste buds. The StrEAT Cuisine truck will park off in the main business hubs of Rosebank and Sandton during the week and weekend warriors can top up their energy tanks with StrEAT Cuisine at high profile sports events and music festivals. The truck will also cater private functions. StrEAT trio, Daniel, Kym and Laura-Beth are all in the event and hospitality industry and say that this latest trend in catering has been a long time coming for South Africa. Head chef, Kym Bailey-Norris, has created the menus from scratch. Seasonal cuisine, chef’s specials and regular signature dishes include Manhattan Godfather Meatballs, Slow Roasted Sticky Devilled Chicken Hoagies and American Wild Berry Pancakes. The meatballs on toasted sourdough with wild rocket, parmesan and sweet tomato jam are set to become the truck’s signature dish, inspiring nothing short of gourmet gluttony! Premium coffee is another differentiating factor of StrEAT Cuisine. So, sorry okes, no boerie rolls here; only the very best gourmet StrEAT cuisine!
