I opened stable in August 2013 with the dream of creating a space where the plentiful talent of South Africa's designers could be showcased alongside one another. I dreamed of a place where locals and foreigners could shop for items not typically found in mainstream shopping malls, items that were innovative, beautiful and South African.

Four years down the line with your help stable continues to overcome monthly challenges that it faces in a shrinking economy. By keeping stables’ doors open you help to keep the designers’ studio doors open.

In addition to creating this showcase it has been my pleasure to contribute towards mentoring and developing brands, assisting with practical elements like design refinement, pricing, packaging and marketing to help make their products market ready.
It has been a joy to watch these brands flourish and to watch designers’ potential realised as they continue their journey.
