SOGA Organic

The Sundays Organic Growers Association (SOGA) was formed 12 years ago when a group of South African organic citrus farmers got together to cooperate with each other in terms of research, packing, logistics and marketing to grow and supply superior citrus to our customers around the world.

Fresh fruit not meeting our strict export standards is sent to our Citrus Processing Plant in Kirkwood, Sundays River Valley. SOGA Organic only processes fruit from the SOGA growers to ensure the highest integrity and quality and the only certified organic citrus processing plant in South Africa. We produce and export 2000 MT of NFC (Not-from-concentrate) Juice to the wholesale market each year and 6 MT of citrus oil is sold locally.

In December 2015, we launched our first two frozen certified organic orange juice products in only 7 selected Food Lover’s Market stores. Being a small niche company and new to the retail market, we decided to start small and to increase our footprint slowly but surely. This number has since grown to 15 Food Lover’s Market stores and about 85 organic orientated stores/deli’s/restaurants in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Gauteng…and the launch of our third retail product – Certified Organic Frozen Lemon Juice, in December 2016. Another FIRST IN SA!
