Shimmi Cafe is the playground of celebration and the home of Johannesburg’s most seductive house music.

Camouflaged in an office building, we are a Gem in the busy city and befriended by many well known corporate suitors who enjoy our relaxing ambience, friendly staff and above all good wholesome food.

Using high-quality ingredients that are locally sourced, we’ve crafted meals that blend the tastes of multiple ethnic groups. Our chefs are lovers of sharp flavor; fragrant herbs and rich spices. Shimmi Café’s range of interesting dishes creates dinners that are best shared.

The menu naturally focuses on Grills, Man size T-Bones, Mouth Watering and famous Chilli Fillet Steaks(NOT FOR THE FEINT HEARTED). Our traditional sides also accompany our dishes like our butter pap, chakalaka, sambles and chilli pickles. We don’t just offer meals, we encourage experiences.
