At Robertson Riding School, we offer a professional and experienced approach to horses and horse riding.

Outrides/Trails
We offer horse trails in the beautiful Breede River Valley of Robertson, which is known for its amazing wines. From trails that take you wine tasting or trails that allow you to enjoy the most amazing views through vineyards and fruit orchids, we are also the one place in this town that is able to take the most magnificent game farm trails. With our experience we are able to accommodate all levels of riders, from the rider who has never seen a horse to the rider who has ridden all their lives, each to have an enjoyable experience that they will never forget.

Lessons
With our dynamic instructors we are able to offer riding lessons for all ages, abilities and aspirations.
Here below is a little bit more about our Instructors.

Layla Scott our passionate instructor that has a unique ability to work with beginners and has a great way of teaching the fundamental basics of riding that will carry you for years to come. She has a great understanding and practice of safety around horses on the ground and on horseback.
Layla's experience in showjumping and cross-country are backed up by her credentials that extend from her SANIP modules 1,2, 3 and 4 ranging from her experience over the last 7 years in working with the beginner rider from her home town in Tulbagh where she fell in-love with the idea of teaching children and horses.

Manon Birk-Volschenk our head instructor, has run a successful school in Cape Town until closing in 2017 after getting married and moving to Robertson she has a vast amount of experience in the competitive horse riding industry where she has competed in Showing, Dressage, Equitation, Showjumping, Eventing and Carriage Driving.
She has produced numerous young horses from backing to competition horses, as well produced numerous pony riders to competition level.
Manon has a passion for children and teaching, her credential over the last 18 years range from:
SANIP modules 1,2,4
EQ700 - Saddle fitting and shoeing dynamics
EQ - Laterallity and body work
BAA - Paramedic
Hippo-therapy and disabled riding

With having such a variety in our instructors passions we are able to cater to all riders and horses to gain the best out of each individual and each individuals dreams and aspirations.
