Rhythmic Elements Dance Academy

Rhythmic Elements Dance Academy is a dance studio situated in Elarduspark and Queenswood, offering Ballet, Modern, Hip Hop and Tap dancing classes. We offer classes to children as young as 3 years old to adult. Classes vary from beginner to advanced levels and anyone is welcome to join. It is NEVER too late to start DANCING!!!!!

Michaela Mourinho is the studio owner and founder. She started dancing at the age of 4 with Cecchetti Ballet and has been dancing ever since. Michaela then, later on started with ISTD Tap, SABOD Hip hop and ISTD Modern.

When she left school she decided she wanted to dance and persue her dancing career. She danced in various competitions, shows, performances, corporate functions etc.

In 2010 she received her SABOD Hip hop Associate Qualification

In 2012, she became a qualified modern teacher with an international qualification for Modern Theatre with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD)

In 2013, she became a qualified tap dancing teacher with an international qualification for Tap, also with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD).

In 2016, she took her Cecchetti ballet associate exam and passed with 86%.

Advanced 1 Ballet (Cecchetti)

Throughout the years, Michaela has taught at various dance studios where she has enjoyed choreographing for shows, training dancers for national and international exams and competitions, training dancers to become teachers etc. She loves teaching children as young as 3 years old, to adults of any age.
