Prynnsberg Estate

The Prynnsberg estate is situated near the village of Clocolan in the Eastern Free State Highlands of South Africa. The estate was established in 1881 by Kimberley Diamond Magnate Charles Newberry in the pursuit of the romantic vision of creating a classic English country estate in untamed Africa.

Central to Prynnsberg is Prynnsberg Manor , a rambling sandstone mansion that has been described in architectural circles as 'the jewel of the Free State'

With 8 beautifully appointed rooms The Manor House is typically booked in its entirety but it is also open to single bookings when the schedule allows .

The Estate B&B is called Aran and is in itself a historic building having originally served as the Game Keepers Lodge. it sleeps 4. Then there is the much loved Glamping (Glamorous Camping) site featuring the Bushman Cave Deck and bath house . This venue is also booked in its entirety and has 14 colonial style safari tents which feature Melvill & Moon furnishings .
