Pokkelmander Reading and Learning Centre

Pokkelmander Reading and Learning Centre has a main stream Play School, Pre Grade R, Grade R, Intermediate Phase Tutoring Centre. We also have a special needs class. We only take 20 children maximum, have 4 classrooms, an indoor play area and an area for eating and arts and crafts.

We offer music therapy, hippotherapy and individual art lessons. We write IEDPs and offer Floortime, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy for those in need of it. We offer weekly sign classes that teach special needs children new signs every week that gets used during the school day.

With a ratio of 3:1 for special needs, 4:1 for both English and Afrikaans Play School and 6:1 for gr R as well as Intermediate Phase, we are now taking new applications for 2018.

The tutoring centre helps primary school learners with study skills, homework, orals and literacy and numeracy. Pick up from Eversdal Primary and Gene Louw Primary is available.
