My Skills

My expertise comes from my attention to detail learned from proofreading and understanding relevancy and consistency of content. The combination of effective proofreading, content generation and search engine optimisation of content is critical in today’s online and offline environment. These are where my strengths lie.

Proofreading and Sub-editing

Proofreading and sub-editing requires a unique skill for accuracy with regards to grammar, spelling, consistency of tone and protecting/enhancing the content, always keeping your reader’s needs in mind. I have consistently worked to deadlines, as well as met quality and quantity standards as required.

Content writing

I have developed content plans to achieve the company’s goals of releasing constant, relevant and useful content that allows for the reader to remain informed and up-to-date with what the company is offering. This content is created specific to the stage in ‘the path to purchase’ that the visitor is researching about. This allows for a higher conversion rate of visitors as you are meeting their needs and questions.

The content can be delivered using multiple channels and thus meets a a variety of people (i.e. Twitter, FB, Google +, blogs, press releases, etc.).

SEO

SEO has changed substantially over the years from keyword dumping through to more subtle techniques. Content is King but you can write and rewrite relevant content with SEO in mind (such as url, title tags, keyword research, meta descriptions, authorship, internal and external site links etc.) to gain more benefit.
