Oppidek Pub and Bistro is in a prime location overlooking the Gansbaai harbour. Oppidek has the most envied deck in Gansbaai; harbour commotions, stunning sunsets and whale and dolphin activity have been appreciated from this deck.
Oppidek has been around for as long as anyone can remember and is a straight forward, casual, come-as-you-are kind of place. Whether you are barefoot and full of sand or dressed in heels, everyone is welcome!
The staff are locals themselves and regular bar and snack specials are had to ensure the whole town ends up at Oppidek. The perfect time to go to Oppidek is late afternoon, about an hour before sunset. Have a cold cocktail on a summer’s day or warm yourself with a winter cocktail and share a snack while enjoying the view.
Oppiedek Pub and Bistro often throws themed party nights and the entire place has a fun night together. A great view and affordable drinks, there isn’t much more you ask for on holiday.

• Head east on the R43 and travel for about 38 km;
• Once you have entered Gansbaai, turn right onto Voortrekker Street;
• Take the second left onto Church Street;
• Take the first right onto Hawe Weg and your destination will be on the left-hand side.
