One Giant Leap - Tandem Skydives

Chris has been skydiving for 28 years and has done almost 9000 jumps of which almost 6000 have been tandem jumps. He was a founding member of Johannesburg Skydiving Club in 1994 and has served continuously on the committee as Chairman, Chief Instructor and Equipment Officer. He also served as National Safety Officer for two years. In 1991 Chris represented Namibia at the World Formation Skydiving Championships held in Czechoslovakia. Tandems have been his passion and he has taken a variety of people on tandem jumps including the youngest in SA being his son Travis at the tender age of three and a half years, 93 year old Bill Hawes and 90 year old Sue Prior who was featured on Carte Blanche. Chris took the only tandem ever into Ellis Park stadium with a Radio Highveld celebrity at an international rugby game and also took Miss South Africa Cindy Nel into Centurion for an international cricket match.
