We live in a world of unprecedented change. The change that we experience is being propelled forward by ongoing and seemingly never-ending knowledge discovery and creation. Researchers indicate that human beings are creating, discovering sharing vast amounts of new knowledge daily.

To manage the ever increasing barrage of knowledge that we as human's encounter, we ought to embrace the principles of learning-how-to-learn. That is, we should develop the skills to identify learning needs, establish learning goals, select adequate strategies and then pursue and achieve our goals while reflecting on our personal learning.

The education system expects students and pupils to study academic material for tests and exams. However, students are seldom assisted in learning-how-to-learn. We offer a unique set of solutions to empower students and pupils to develop the skills associated with learning. To this end, we offer a number of practical and hands-on workshops and individual study coaching sessions.

Biographical profiles
Henry Mason

Henry Mason holds several degrees, including a Doctorate of Psychology from Unisa. He has 14 years of experience working within student counselling and development contexts.

Henry currently serves in the capacities of President-Elect and Research Development and Training officer at the Southern African Society for Counselling and Development in Higher Education (SAACDHE). In addition to having presented more than 50 papers at conferences and authored a number of Life Orientation textbooks, Henry has also published scientific articles in both national and international journals. Furthermore, Henry serves as a peer reviewer for numerous national and international journals and is the editor for an academic journal.

Henry is passionate about sharing the message of learning-how-to-learn with students and pupils. He feels that education is about more than just remembering the facts; an education serves as an avenue to actualising a person’s fullest potential and creating a better future for all.

Jon Mason

Jon Mason holds an Honors degree of Industrial Psychology from Unisa. He is currently registered for his Master’s degree of Industrial Psychology at the University of Pretoria. Jon-Jon has ten years of experience in the fields of student development and in particular, in the area of inclusive education. He is also involved in training and development of academic lectures with regards to inclusive education.

Jon is a strong advocate of life-long learning. He strongly believes that due to the exponential growth in knowledge in the last decade, and increased pressure on people to gain new knowledge and skills to provide and maintain an individual’s livelihood, life-long learning is no longer optional, but an absolute necessity for success and individual development.
