It is with great pleasure that we would like to introduce the Mall@Lebo development, a fully enclosed Regional Shopping Centre with a proposed GLA (gross lettable area) of ± 23 000 m² at the intersection of the R518 and R579, South of Polokwance, Limpopo Province. The Centre opens on the 24th April 2014, and includes a full retail offering including 3 major anchors tenants (Spar, Pick n Pay and Game), major clothing retailers, furniture, banks, and services, so as to cater for the entire catchment area within a 35km radius.

The site measures 3.5 hectares in extent and has frontage on R579 dual carriageway. These 2 roads are the main “arteries” through Lebowakgomo and the surrounding towns, and make the site available to all traffic coming from the surrounding areas. Not only does this prime location make the development highly visible and accessible, but also finds itself strategically situated right in the centre of its primary and secondary catchment area. The primary and secondary catchment market consists of approx. 300 000 people.

Majority of our catchment area will include all the towns North, South, East and West of our site, within a 35km radius.

The existing retail offering in the immediate area of the proposed Mall@Lebo is made up of smaller disjointed shopping centres and informal shops. Despite this, the existing retail node trades extremely well, with some national retailers achieving their highest national trading densities. Mall@Lebo aims to formalise the retail offering and capitalize on the existing demand in the region.

A development of this size and quality in Lebowakgomo is timeous, the ± 22 000m² retail development will provide retailers with significant opportunities to deliver on the substantial grocery, fashion, homewares, hardware, dining, entertainment, service, specialty goods, furniture and appliance needs of this market.
