Situated in the picturesque Magalies Mountain that runs from Pretoria to Rustenburg, lies our adventure hiking trail. With Magalies Mountain lodge facilitating the extras with a peaceful day spa and relaxing over-night lodge.
Just 15min from Hartbeespoort and 20min from Pretoria West on the Van Der Hoff Road (R514), it remains the best kept secret for a 'one day getaway' from all the hustle and bustle of city life.
On a clear day you can see all the way to the Silos in Kempton Park, Sandton City, The Dome and Pretoria Central.
The trail takes approx. 45min, depending on your fitness level. Hike up the side of the mountain to suddenly turn and take in the majestic view as you descend back down peacefully between the trees and wild life.
We boast being situated on a green belt nature conservation sight, with all natural fauna and flora. With the occasional visit from the local Vervet Monkey Troop and the tell-tale signs of the elusive leopard that roam this area.
What a great way to watch the local bird specifies frolicking in a natural setting. If you are lucky you may also see one of the vultures from the rescue farm circling overhead. So remember your binoculars and camera.
