LJN Labour Services is a well recognised and respected registered closed corporation specialising in the Labour Law market that represents the Employer with regard to all Labour related matters.

In light of the current Labour legislation that has been implemented in South Africa and which is presently on the verge of being amended, we are doing an audit to gauge the level of understanding and preparedness of Employers to cope with its implications. As we gain more insight into Labour matters in South Africa, we are perturbed at the precarious position many Employers find themselves in with regard to Labour matters – in many cases without even being aware of it.

Please note that our costs do not require VAT, as we are VAT exempted, and are all-inclusive, depending on the package you choose for your own individual needs. We are all unique, therefore our needs are too. Standard packages simply make no sense considering this very widely overlooked fact.

Our Comprehensive Package is an all-encompassing package with no hidden costs and is the most comprehensive agreement offered in the industry. We also offer a Domestic Package as well as an Additional Package, which will be explained on request. We are registered as members of an Employers Organisation, and your membership to our corporation includes the same membership, (although the need for this membership will be determined before we just go ahead and do something that might not be needed or wanted as yet, saving you money) therefore according to the LRA (Labour Relations Act no.66 of 1995) and relevant Rules for the Conduct of Proceedings Before the CCMA or relevant Bargaining Council, we have a statutory right to represent you as a fellow member at any Dispute Resolution Body. Labour Court matters will be taken care of by the Employers Organisation’s team of highly capable lawyers at a nominal additional fee. Matters very rarely go that far if handled properly from the beginning. This is why we insist on being allowed to do what we specialise in from the very beginning of every disciplinary procedure taken. In fact, we are so confident that we render top quality professional service, that we guarantee that had we been involved from the beginning all the way through to the eventual dismissal of the employee, and a matter is referred to the CCMA or Bargaining Council, and an award is handed down in favour of the employee due to a technical procedural defect, we will assume up to 100% responsibility of that award, depending of course on the individual circumstances of every case. This is why we claim to save you time and money, and guarantee you peace of mind in the event of a dispute.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Depending on your requirements, services packages start from as little as R1799.00 per annum with a minimal service fee as you need us. Our consultants will firstly have to establish what your needs are before we are in a position to give you a valid indication of the costs involved. Once annual membership is paid on our comprehensive package for example, there are no additional or monthly retainer costs. Services mentioned are free for the remainder of the year. (12 months from the date on the invoice)


Q: Do I have enough workers?

A: LJN Labour Services is capable of handling all Labour matters from the small to the large Employers in South Africa. The number of employees required for you to qualify as a valued member of LJN Labour Services’ extended family ranges from as little as 1 employee to over 1000 employees. Our financial structure is based on the number of employees that are presently in your employment, and the frequency that you may need our services.


Q: Why shouldn’t we use our attorneys to handle this work?

A: Like in medicine, legal practitioners are not automatically specialists in all fields. Our legal team specialises in Labour matters and at a fraction of the cost. We also offer personalised service and training that legal practitioners rarely have the time to provide. Once you become a member of LJN Labour Services’ comprehensive package, all our legal services with regard to Labour matters are free. Also, because of our membership to the Employers Organisation, your membership will give us a statutory right to represent you at the CCMA, whereas attorneys don’t enjoy that right.


Q: What if we cannot afford it?

A: A visit from one of our consultants will not cost you anything and will not put you under any obligation. And should a company decide that they do not need our services, we go out of our way to structure a worthwhile package that will both meet their needs, and fit their budget, no matter what budget they have, guaranteed.


Q: Why can’t our Labour consultant provide us with these services?

A: Labour consultants are a mostly labour consulting firms only with limited representative services, while we as members of an Employer’s Organisation offer a much wider range of services which furthermore address Labour problems from a legal perspective. Our consultants will be able to explain the additional value we offer in just a few minutes during a meeting with you.


Q: What if our Human Resources Department and/or Head Office deal with this work?

A: We find that companies benefit even more from our legal expertise when we work with a knowledgeable person or department in the company itself. We also specialise in addressing specific problems experienced by specific operations, which may not fall within the general approach of your Head Office. Also, having an unbiased, independent third party involved in certain disciplinary situations simply makes for a more rock solid case at the CCMA.


Q: Why can’t I handle my own Labour matters?

A: If you consider what your time is worth, and compare it with our rates, you will see immediately why it makes good business sense to use our services. And of course we are full-time professionals in the field, backed by a formidable, specialist legal team.
