Lion Park Volunteers

Our mission is to provide an opportunity for tourists, both local and international, to learn more about our wonderful African animals. Our staff and volunteers are there to answer any questions and we would be delighted to assist.

The Lion Park has a wealth of exciting activities for the whole family to ensure an unforgettable wildlife experience. Our guests are guaranteed to get extremely close to white lion, wild dog, hyena and over twenty other African wildlife species. There are grazing areas where you will see zebra, giraffe, gemsbuck, springbuck and blesbuck, just to mention a few.

We offer self-drive opportunities and day- or night-guided tours in our safari vehicles through the large antelope area and four different lion pride camps, including the rare white lion, cheetah and wild dog camps. Go on an amazing cheetah walk alongside a fully-grown cheetah or take an unforgettable two-hour lion tour with the world-renowned animal behaviorist, Alex Larentry.

Our new adventure offering is a thrilling 1,5-hour photographic tour in a silent electric vehicle. Visitors can capture their wildlife experiences by having their photographs taken professionally by the Lion Park photographers while interacting with the animals.

We house a large range of artifacts and clothing from all over Africa. The Lion Park now also offers a massive range of gifts, toys, clothing and books for children in our brand-new children’s superstore.

The sit-down restaurant offers a delicious à la carte menu, braai lunch or dinner, fully licensed bar and an authentic clay-oven pizza hut that produces mouth-watering pizzas. Halaal available.

Kids love to visit our baby animals in Cub World and delight in the newly-built amusement park with many fun rides, jumping castles and jungle gyms situated alongside a seating area where parents can keep an eye on them. The Lion Park is also the perfect venue for a unique children’s party or an educational tour.

We encourage schools and children to visit the Lion Park. A day visit to the park will provide the perfect opportunity and platform to learn about, interact with and feed the animals. The Lion Park also supports research programes in the wild.

Let us host your next day or night corporate function or conference, for time out of the office with an opportunity to meet some of Africa’s special wildlife. Our tailor-made packages include activities to suit your requirements and budget.

Overnight accommodation is available at ‘The Wild Side Tents’, our large semi-luxury 5-sleeper safari tents that come complete with en suite bathroom and private braai area. Fall asleep to the magnificent sound of lions roaring and hyenas cackling. Breakfast is available on request.
