Kwast

Most ventures start with an idea. We had 137. Some were discarded; others changed or polished to feed into what ultimately became Kwast Studios (Pty) Ltd. Since 2015 we’ve been growing, teaching, sharing and selling creativity and imagination. Our one unchanging resolution was and is to be as flexible as possible when offering a service, manufacturing a product or hosting a creative event.

Kwast (Dutch for paintbrush) is exactly that: a fully functional art, craft and design space. We manufacture leather products and ranges (both 100% handmade bags as well as custom gifting ranges), craft a range of ceramic products and screen print fabrics. Combining these products and mediums ensures exciting décor and gifting solutions.

The studio also sees large numbers of small feet passing through our three red doors every week for art classes. Or they come for one of our unique children’s parties where we combine the event with an activity in the studio. Think pottery parties, art parties, fashion design parties or build-a-bag parties.

All events are planned according to the customer’s needs. We can organize the whole shebang (we bake beautiful cakes too) or you can simply book the activity and adjacent party venue under the trees.

And then sometimes we act all grown-up. Having combined experience of more than 25 years in the media, communication and publishing industry, we can write, edit, translate or design any website, book, pamphlet or article. We even understand science and technical terms.
