The entire KosherWorld centre is Truly Kosher – including all tenants and facilities.

Not only is KosherWorld Supermarket the only Truly Kosher supermarket in South Africa (indeed Africa) located at 1 Long Avenue, Glenhazel, diagonally opposite the Yeshiva College campus, in the heart of the community – but the entire complex complies with all Halachic requirements.

We are a franchisee of the OK Franchise Division (www.okfd.com), which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Shoprite/Checkers Group – the largest grocery buyer in Africa. This gives us the purchasing power to be able to bring kosher food products, as well as all other household goods to you at competitive prices. KosherWorld stocks the largest selection of kosher products available in South Africa in one supermarket – a Truly Kosher one-stop kosher-centre!

The Chabad Book Shop is also located within KosherWorld and offers a large range of Judaica, religious as well as general books.

Shopping for kosher goods has never been more convenient. We are open from 7am – 10pm daily, except of course on Shabbat and Chagim. Motzei Shabbat and Chagim all food operations and KosherWorld open half an hour after Shabbat/Chag comes out.

KosherWorld is licensed as an all-kosher establishment by the Johannesburg Beth Din, which is part of the UOS (Union of Orthodox Synagogues).
