Klipkloof Farm is 300 hectares in size with the White Umfolozi River running along the northern bank for about 2km. The Gorge is a popular venue for rock climbers and offers over 80 routes for abseiling. Klipkloof is a National Protected Area and serves as an educational site for the University of Johannesburg and Durban – it is also a paradise for geologists. The flora on the farm is typical bushveld with a variety of Marula, Copperbark, kanniedood, Kiepersol and Red Ivory trees.
