More about Kishugu Aviation Training Organisation - ATO

Kishugu/FFA Aviation is a LEADING Aviation company in Southern Africa. We are the aerial support for the massive Working on Fire Programme which employs in excess of 5000 staff members in various capacities.
Kishugu/FFA Aviation was birthed in Nelspruit a decade ago and although we have bases countrywide, we are proud to have Nelspruit Airport as our Head Office.
We like to pride ourselves on the fact that we stay on the forefront of technology and remain dynamic in our perspective on the future. Currently our ATO (Aviation Training Organisation) manages all the aviation related training requirements of our company.
We have a fleet of 47 aircraft that consists of various aircraft – 25 Fixed Wing and 22 Helicopters
We are able to qualify students with a Private Pilot’s Licence from the age of 16. This qualification becomes a stepping stone to a career in Aviation. We also cater for the person who would like to do their PPL for recreational flying. It is an exciting and internationally recognised profession which is standardised by the various Civil Aviation Authorities worldwide to provide a very rewarding and fulfilling career path. There are a phenomenal amount of categories of professions within the Aviation industry, and we would very much like to be involved in the development of the new generation of Aviators.
Training for a Pilot's licence will teach one responsibility, independent thinking, the value of good decision making and will open a whole new world of opportunities, both personally and professionally. We have a wide range of aircraft available for training purposes right here in Nelspruit and there are possible career opportunities with our parent company FFA Holdings after completion of available courses and licences.
What separates Kishugu/FFA Aviation from other Flight Schools is that our student pilots can qualify for a sponsorship towards hour building (up to 50 hours) during the rotational ferry flights seasonally.
