Kamohau Community Organisation have noticed the high rate of accidents that happen on the roads of South Africa, and this brought the IDEA of starting the Project of Training the drivers of this Country about what causes the accidents and how to avoid them. All the drivers of South Africa only learn about the rules and regulations when they pass their driving test and receive their licenses. To receive a driving license, is not enough to be safe out on the road, day by day reports from media about the accidents show that, there is a crisis in this country and something must be done. In general, South Africa is one of the countries with high road accidents and the Government spent more than 50 billion rands each year, because of this problem. Statistics shows that more than 40 people die each day on our roads, this is more than 1240 lives per month, and the situation must be minimized. These accidents affect the country in many ways. Nowadays, by the road-side there are crosses marking where some people lost their lives, are placed by relatives and loved ones of the deceased. Eventually our roads will be like graveyard and will be a threat to tourists and / or visitors from other countries.
