TOUR NO: MP 07
DAY 01
Arrive at the Mpumalanga International Airport, overnight at Sanbonani Resort in Hazyview.
DAY 02
Depart early morning on the Panorama Route that takes us to the historic Pilgrims Rest, where gold was discovered in 1870. We also visit the Tsinini Silk factory in Graskop. This very unique African Silk factory sells handspun and hand-woven silk stoles, scarves, throws and blankets, silk filled duvets as well as wild and cultivated silk fabrics. God’s Window, (weather permitting) Blyde river canyon and the three Rondawels as well as various water falls will also be visited.
Day 03
Off to the world famous Kruger National Park for a full day game drives on an open safari vehicle. Arrive back at the hotel for leisure time at Sanbonani Hotel, where tourists can enjoy the swimming pools, tennis courts, gym, putt-putt, table tennis, Spa, bowling greens or go for a walk along to the Sabie River where they can view hippos and crocodiles.
Day 04
Depart mid-morning for the Cheetah breeding project at Kapama a private game reserve, enjoy a game drive in open game viewing vehicles. These reserve also give the visitor the opportunity to view the ‘Big Five’ in their natural habitat. Arrive back at the Hotel, dinner and an early night.
Day 05
Join us for a lifetime experience with
Balloons Over Africa – (optional) 3-4 hrs
Balloon flights take place very early morning, and you will be invited to enjoy a dawn cup of coffee or tea with country biscuits while the balloon is being inflated. Relax, enjoy yourself and toast the sunrise with a fruit juice! The flight takes you over leafy indigenous bush and plantations along the bubbling Sabie River in the Sabie Valley.

Geckoing (optional) 3-4 hrs
Geckoiing on the Sabie is the by far one of the best adventure activities that humans came up with - it rocks! This is probably the best way to descend a low volume river like the Sabie. A Gecko is a very small raft that you steer with webbed gloves, no paddles needed! It is very easy to steer and very safe, and one of the most amazing ways to have fun with family and friends in the sun and water!
Quad Biking - (optional) 1 hrs , 2 1/2 hrs
The Adventure’s Quad biking trails will exceed all your expectations. Trails run through the most scenic Sabie River Valley, winding along the Sabana River, indigenous vegetation, mountain hills and streams. The tracks vary from technical to very easy, so we have something to offer the expert as well as the novice! Halfway we have a quick stop for drinks and snacks before we get back to serious Quad Biking.
Horse Trails (optional) 1 hr
Become one with nature as you enjoy the beautiful Lowveld scenery of the Sabaan River, indigenous bush and fruit orchards on horseback. Small game and hippo are still roaming around in the area and might be spotted on your trail. Abundant bird life makes bird watching a feast; so don’t forget your binoculars! We accommodate both advanced and novice riders. Kids and first timers are also welcome.
Elephant Whispers (optional)
Witness their intelligence, their compassionate nature and sheer delight in interacting with their human counterpart, Interaction with the elephant offers you the opportunity to touch the elephant, exchange “trunk greetings” and offer tasty treats. Enjoy a different perspective, saddle-up and embark on a journey which was once a privilege reserved only for kids! Join us for an unforgettable experience with these gentle giants.

Sabie River rafting (optional) 3-4 hrs
The Sabie River provides 20 rapids (grade 2–3) with areas of scenic vegetation and outstanding wildlife viewing. This 8 km route is yielding to the novice, yet accommodating to the thrill seeker within all of us. Adventure’s trained guides will ensure that you have a safe and fun-filled experience. Also included are swimming, bum sliding and wave surfing with a boogie board at “Lions Rock”.
DAY 06
Souvenir shopping at the curio shop on the Resort before we depart for your flight back home.
