More about Inner Peace Addiction Treatment Centre

A unique rehab centre that has opened in remembrance of Thairee Rose who succumbed to her substance use disorder after a long and hard battle. She had been in and out of many facilities and was looking for a facility that could provide her with love and the treatment needed for her so The Thairee Rose Home was born.
Inner Peace Recovery Home is based in the heart of the Karoo in a small town called Fraserburg that provides a lifeline in a tranquil setting to people with substance abuse problems, especially drug, alcohol addiction and dual diagnosis. Inner Peace’s Recovery Home uses a holistic approach to treatment in that it doesn’t just deal with physical or psychological problems associated with addiction. Instead, it focuses on the whole body, including spirituality, diet, exercise, medical care and counselling. Inner Peace is a recovery home away from home. We see people for who they are and do not label them addicts but recognise that they have a substance use disorder and often the stigma of an addict stays with a client when they are admitted. Our goal is to remove this stigma as well as assist the individual in a loving caring environment to understand that they have a substance use disorder and learn to life with their disorder but they are still able to live a full, functional happy sober life.
Our programmes has a strong individual focus with intense one-on-one counselling sessions, group therapy is also used to encourage self-exploration and social interaction. Spiritual counselling, not necessarily focused on religion, is a vital part of the programme to help substance dependant individuals deal with problems that go deeper than the psychological. Professional and loving care is available from our qualified staff to help clients get through withdrawal and detox and to assit with any other physical problems related to, or that stem from alcohol or drug abuse.
The Thairee Rose Home had been designed specifically to create a safe and secure homely environment (Home away from Home) to further encourage healing and recovery. Situated in the heart of the Karoo town of Fraserburg, The Thairee house is a comfortable spacious home with attractively decorated bedrooms, cozy areas and great outdoor spaces.
The house is configured to accommodate community living which is an important aspect to our treatment programme consisting of a spacious lounge and kitchen/dining area as well as a garden areas all offering a peaceful, private setting for study and relaxation. Lovely out-door braai area, DSTV and access to tennis courts, rugby field for daily exercise and recreational sports all forming part of creating a balanced all round healthy lifestyle..
Fraserburg is a comfortable 5 hour drive from Cape Town. It is one of the most authentic and well preserved Karoo towns left in South Africa. It is a quiet and peaceful place where one can truly get away from it all without compromising on comfort, style and fun. For the more adventurous there are numerous hiking trails which are quite breathtaking along with perfectly clear night skies.
Transport to Fraserburg is provided through many aspects – often if possible we would like the family to bring through the client so we can meet with the family members, however we know that this is sometimes not that easy due to distance. Inner Peace has transport that goes down to Cape Town every second week. There’s also bus services like Grey Hound, Inter Cape, Translux who drops clients off at Beaufort West and are then collected by one of staff members.
We understand that a person who makes the journey to Inner Peace (The Thairee Rose House) is special, and should be treated as such. We look forward to sharing your recovery journey with you.
