ABOUT HOEFSTRAAL SA BOERPERD STUD
Hoefstraal SA Boerperd Stud was founded by Piet and Petro Grové. Mainly situated on the banks of the Vaal River (Vanderbijlpark), Hoefstraal stud produces many champion horses in a variety of equine disciplines such as Showing, Dressage / Prix Caprilli, Eventing and Single Harness Classes. The horses regularly participate in SA Boerperd Championships, SANESA (South African National Equestrian Schools League), as well as open graded shows in South Africa.

OUR VISION
1. To promote the SA Boerperd as a Breed to receive the same recognition as all other competitive horse breeds in Southern Africa, and
2. To inform the public that the SA Boerperd is indeed an indigenous registered and internationally recognised horse breed ideal for pleasure and competition in Southern Africa.

OUR MISSION
1. To carefully handpick the dam and sire of each horse for breeding purposes after studying the bloodlines intensively;
2. To breed athletic and intelligent horses that can compete in a variety of disciplines nationally;
3. To breed horse from 15hh and higher with even temperaments;
4. To train horses from an early age, so as to seamlessly embark on the backing process;
5. To give deserving riders the opportunity to ride SA Boerperd competitively for Hoefstraal Stud.
