Green Pasture Social Crime Prevention Desk

Green Pasture Social Crime Prevention Desk is a non-profit organisation based in Bushbuckridge,operating nationally established in 2014 with an aim to drive and specializing in the awareness and preventative campaigns on the scourge and prevalence of drug and alcohol abuse and crime prevention within communities especially the youth by running skill development, sports and recreation activities for young people as part of crime alleviation program and creating a platform for job creation and engaging in recreational activities to bring young people together from youth organizations and schools and the general public to focus on crime prevention through youth activities.

Green Pasture works with and mobilizes young people to voluntarily assist the SAPS in terms of social crime prevention to create a safer environment for our kids and students in schools and in jointly initiating projects.

Aim

The aim of Green Pasture is to improve cooperation between the police and youth in the fight against crime. Through awareness campaigns on the causes of social crimes, coordinating and facilitating programmes that will discourage behaviors that are conducive to participating in criminal activities, skills development, career development and creating a platform for job creation and engaging in recreational activities.
