God’s own farms is an organization, with no profit motive,founded by a group of people who are committed to rebuild Kerala to bring back the self-sufficiency to produce poison free, safe-to-eat vegetables with the real taste and smell of God’s own country.

Our vision
‘‘To build a Kerala where everyone has access to safe-to-eat, poison free agricultural produce cultivated within Kerala using Kerala’s excellent natural resources, weather, and people power’’


We strive to achieve our vision through various routes: Social farming and Institutional farming are our prime duties. Another important service we have undertaken is spreading awareness about the danger of consuming toxic vegetables commercially produced and to motivate public to start producing save-to-eat vegetables in their own homes. We would like to channelize all our efforts to persuade the youth of God’s own country to take up green-collar jobs to be proud to make their hands and legs dirty to cultivate vegetables and fruits the way nature made it.



‘Institutional Farming’ is what we would like to focus primarily for the time being. We take up the unoccupied land (doesn’t matter how big or small it is) the institutions like Schools, Colleges, Police Stations, Hospitals, Churches, Temples etc. have,to cultivate save-to-eat vegetables, involving the people/students of respective institutes to make agriculture familiar for them, providing them guidance, organic manures and pesticides etc. In Institutional farming God’s own farms will design vegetable gardens and plant seedlings, taking up all the expense required and let the institution maintain the garden under the expert monitoring of God’s own farms. God’s own farms will never be having any kind of claims on the land provided by institutes for farming and institute will always have absolute freedom to take back their land whenever they want. The vegetables produced in institutional farms will be distributed to the employees/students/people of respective institutes for totally free of cost and if surplus is there it will be sold through God’s own farms’ outlets for 50% lesser price than the actual market price.

In all institutes that associates with God’s own farms by giving their land and man power for cultivation, programs like classes to motivate people to get closer to agricultural, training to cultivate different crops, awareness about the damage caused by commercially produced vegetables to your body and environment will be given by experienced organic farmers and qualified people



Social Farming is the movement God’s own farms presents to change the face of Kerala. By Social farming what God’s own farms intends is to make every nook and cranny of Kerala like negleted spaces near railways, bus stands etc., ugly waste dumping places in the cities, vacant government lands, grass covered road sides etc. visually beautiful and useful by planting those places with different crops. Social farming will be segmented to ‘Cared Gardens’ and ‘Uncared Gardens’. Necessary lobbying with government and local administrative authorities for using land will be dealt sensibly and tactfully, and the expense required for the project will be borne by God’s own farms

Uncared gardens won’t be taken care of regularly by God’s own farms by giving fertilizers and pesticides at right times because the crops planted there would be really hardy which can survive in unfavorable conditions. The crops in the ‘uncared gardens’ won’t be vegetables but the ones like Papaya, Cashew, Bananas etc. which require very less care. The produce of ‘uncared gardens’ is for public, nobody will be restricted from taking the fruits of those plants

Cared gardens comes in social farming will be taken good care by a group of volunteers created by God’s own farms. The volunteers will obviously be the interested people who stay near the location of gardens like a group of house wives, auto drivers, people from different clubs etc.

God’s own farms find the funds for all their projects from corporate companies by using two strategies mainly: taking funds by offering companies advertisement possibilities to effectively build goodwill among people and by convincing companies to spend their CSR funds for farming projects through God’s own farms.

Institutional farming funded by a company gets to keep their ads in respective institutions and company representatives get chances to inaugurate programs and to give interviews in the institution, which can build positive opinions about the company. So God’s own farms use the fund given by companies to build farms and advertise the farms giving credit to the companies. And another main source is making available the CSR (Corporate social responsibility) funds of companies. By 2013 it’s mandatory for all companies that make a profit of above 5 cores to spend 2% of their profit for social activities and it’s with this fund God’s own farms does the projects.
