Genesis Care Centre

Offering services to patients 24 hours a day and 365 days a year means having a staff team of 65 people and 43 volunteers. Patients have had either HIV/AIDS, TB, strokes, cancer or other chronic illness. A holistic approach of care means that every person admitted receives medical, nursing, physical, psycho-social and spiritual care. The Genesis Care Centre is the only step down care facility that caters for people referred by government hospitals in the Ugu District. We are in need of financial support to sustain the superb care provided by the staff of the Genesis Care Centre. We do not charge people who are admitted, for the simple reason that they cannot afford to pay, and we are referred by state funded Government hospitals. We need to rely heavily on community support.
