Veterinary Therapy involves the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal and/or neurological conditions in animals. It combines movement analysis in order to identify potential problems.
Physiotherapy is a complimentary therapy that aims to maintain and restore normal functioning. The most common areas of treatment are:
- Optimize the healing process and accelerate return to function, independence or performance in the competition horse or dog.
- Post-operative rehabilitation for animals with orthopedic or neurological conditions.
- Enhancement of quality of life in patients with degenerative conditions such as arthritis.
Physiotherapy is delivered by:
- Equipment such as LASER therapy and electrostimulation.
- Manual techniques such as mobilisations, soft tissue techniques and stretching.
- Rehabilitation and exercise plans.
I am happy to work with any Veterinarian to ensure the health and well-being of your animal.
