Fariha Belly Dance Studio

Levona Bredenkamp started oriental dancing in 2006. She has since performed at various corporate and private functions in the George Area. As well as a charity function for CANSA – George.

In 2012 she opened Fariha Belly Dance Studio. Levona is also one of the permanent dancers at the Turkish restaurant, Kafe Serefe , in George

In 2012, the Studio placed second in the Drum Solo category of the Miss Belly Dance SA competition held in

Johannnesburg. Levona has also performed at the Oriental Dance Festival, hosted by Ajsa Samia and Palace of the Winds in Cape Town since 2012.

In 2013, Fariha Belly Dance Studio hosted international oriental dancer Artemis from Germany, for a workshop

in George, and shared the stage with her and other Garden Route studios during a Showcase held on 9 August.

In 2014 she placed 1st in the Modern Belly Dance Category, and was amongst the top 5 of the Miss Belly Dance SA

category. In 2015 she placed 2nd in the CIAD international belly dance competition in the Adult Solo category.



In 2015, Levona successfully auditioned for an international Belly Dance Production (Bellydance Evolution) – the only Oriental Dancer from the Western Cape – to dance in the Alice In Wonderland production held at the Lyric Theatre in JHB on 1 May.



In a continuous persuit to increase her knowledge and skill of oriental dance, Levona has been privileged to attend workshops in 2011 with Natasha v/d Merwe (Cape Town), Abir & Magdy (Egypt), Danisa (Argentina), in 2012 -Kash (Cape Town), Artemis (Germany), Astrid (JHB), Danisa (Argentina), and in 2013 with Yasmina and

Kazafy (Cairo), Gitza (Mexico) and Nicole (USA), and with Paola Blanton (Brazil) in 2014.
