Prize catches of Cob, Grunter, Shad, Garrick and other fish has been caught less than 100m from EngelZand River Chalet, both on lures and bait.

The Name?

Roughly translated it means “Angel’s Sand”, in Dutch. (Engel = Angel and Zand = Sand.) Its also derived from parts of our surname, Engelbrecht, and the town where its located, Witsand. We are proud to name this special Chalet of ours “EngelZand” because of our Dutch Heritage.

Our family’s surname, Engelbrecht, is also from Dutch decent and means “brought from the angels”.
