Chinese Shaolin Digong boxing has spread hundreds of years back till now and is one of the genres Chinese Traditional Wushu Styles. It is said from the elders that Chinese Shaolin Digong boxing originated from Shandong Zhucheng county Fuliu village, during the Guangxu emperor era and is a popular prefecture in Qingzhou. At the time a Shaolin nun called Huizhong worked at the temple as fitness instructor and nursing. In the early Qing Dynasty the Temple monks, nuns and white lotus had fuming activities to participate in, the Qing government were evil they intervene and ordered the burning of Dasi'an and the Bailian nunnery, both houses of monks and nuns were destroyed and they were forced to flee. He was a doctor near the Laidu prefecture, and began to teach Chinese Shaolin Digong boxing. When Master Song was 67 years old in 1900, he had the last prentice named Zhou Yaowu. Master Zhou was born in 1892 in Shandong Zhucheng County Fuliu village and died in 1961. His old name is Zhou Ruiheng, Zhou Ximi is the name used before. He began to learn wushu when he was eight years old. He is the first descendant of Digong boxing. Master Zhou learned from his mother when he was young. She is one of the main Masters in the four counties of Shandong province. She helped Master Zhou to get a good wushu foundation. Then he got the soul of Digong boxing from Master Song jinglan. So he got the name “the flying dragon on the earth”. Master Zhou had to defend himself against an injustice when causing someones disability, so he left home for avoiding the trial. He went to Guangning county, later changed the name North town. During the time in North town, he lived in the Wanghai temple at Lv Mountain. He took Duochan as his teacher. By learning from the presbyter, he mastered left arm sword, darhma chan zhang, bagua boxing, taichi boxing, shaolin kouzi hammer and so on. In the beginning of the Republic of China, Duochan presbyter recommends him to Fengtian Finance Hall, being guard wushu master. After one year he moved to Wushu Masters Battalion of General Zhang's Mansion being Major wushu Master. Zhang Xueliang leaded the main Fengtian north-east army to the center north, the guarding battalion followed him. Because he was too old, so zhang xueliang agreed him to go back the home town and waited on the order. After the 918 Incident, Master Zhou went back to Fengtian, and opened Fengtian Wushu and Morality Developing Institute. Hence Digong boxing began to be popular near Shenyang he opened the second Way Zhenxing Organization at Nanguan Deshengmen of Shenyang. At that time, under the rule of the Japanese, Chinese people was often bullied, the Japanese also opened martial arts schools in Shenyang teaching " Bushido ."

He opened a school to teach boxing named National Sports School. Master Zhou and his apprentices usually went to the parks, gyms and cultural palace to join the festival celebration. Every performance got much applause. In 1957, because of "historical issues" Zhouyao Wu was beaten as a rightist. His prentice Zhai Zhendong who was born in 1922, in Hebei Fengrun, his childhood love was for martial arts at age 18 he went with his father to the northeastern Changchun, because Martial Arts were often attend in theatrical performances played by Wusheng .In 1950 , the railway system was established and a Locomotive Wushu Team was established, because Zhai Zhendongs' martial arts was superior he was first to be elected to the Wushu Team for the 1951 squad and was transferred to the Shenyang Railway Bureau, and settled in Shenyang. In 1954 the 32 -year-old Zhai Zhendong decided to improve his martial arts studies again, he was attracted by Zhouyao Wu's teachings, and wanted to learn his powerful punches.
