Dr Jemma Simpson is a General Practitioner with a special interest in Aesthetic and Anti-ageing Medicine. A specialty which she will now pursue from her rooms at the premises of Deluxe Laser & Spa. Dr Simpson qualified as a medical doctor in 2007 at Wits University in Johannesburg. She completed a two year internship at Groote Schuur Hospital and community service at Red Cross Children’s Hospital. After this she embarked on a new 3 year adventure as Ship’s medical Doctor for Princess Cruises; exposed to a wide variety of medical conditions.

Dr Simpson has had an interest in Aesthetic Medicine since leaving medical school, and being exposed to the Aesthetics Doctors on board the Princess Cruise liners inspired her to pursue a career in the field. After returning to work in the Emergency Unit for an additional two years, she progressed to complete her Aesthetics Training in Botox and Fillers with Dr Alec Nikolic and shadowed two of the top aesthetics practitioners in Cape Town for further training and teaching.

Dr Simpson has had a passion for the Aesthetic field for many years and strongly believes in the importance of a holistic approach to anti-ageing and receiving treatments as early as possible. Prevention is better than cure is a phrase that rings true in this industry. “I love the diversity of patients and no one treatment is ever the same. There are numerous advancing treatments currently available and still to come, making this field dynamic and innovative. It is a true artistic practice and it is rewarding to be equipped to help patients feel good inside and out.”
