D-Boy is a “soulful” rapper primarily, with strong undertones of modern hip hop merged with old school soul, creating an authentic sound unlike any other today.

As the Creative Manager of IMG, D-Boy plays a powerful consultative/directing role as both musician & creative influencer of the group.
His passion for music began at a youthful age, with influences from a wide variety of genres both within his peer group as well as his family influences. “As a product of a single-parent home and the challenges which come with it, I was greatly inspired by how music unites people, uplifts people, and acts as a natural tonic for almost anything.”
D-Boy found great expression through underground music and eventually performing as a “freestyler” at events, rebuilding his experiences through lyrical street poetry and charming crowds with his unmatched delivery.

D-Boy joined forces with IMG in 2016 as its core crew and helped stabilise its foundation through his creative involvement and influence on all members, and future recruits who joined after him. He has played an extremely important function in sourcing talent, sampling artists & musicians and providing ongoing creative input to IMG members. Our versatile creative manager who is also undergoing fine-tuning as a producer, firmly upholds the ambition of IMG.

D-Boy is presently recording an assured hit EP (extended play album) through IMG, expected to land on local and national radio by mid-2017, with a number of hits predestined to liven airwaves!
