More about CAMP

CAMP has a specific linkage to the intake of women on the career assessment and mentorship programme, as well as the inclusion of vulnerable groups. The selection criteria is inclusive of marginalized top performers and addresses the matters of inequality. The programme ensures through extensive network platforms that students are exposed to job shadowing to gain equal opportunities.

The visible lack of mentoring and couching structures within communities robs our nation of a potential future workforce, which could potentially address challenges facing national development goals (NDP4) and Vision 2030. Education is at the heart of everything and an educated population will help confront most of these challenges. It is not the Government’s sole responsibility. The promotion of rights of vulnerable groups more so of the inclusion of women i.e. access to education and exposure to career opportunities improves the position of women ultimately in society. Since the programme has a great number of women in the intake, support from this project funding would only enhance the said objectives.
Further, the Village of Bethanie has rich history with the Schmelenhaus and around Klipfontien, which requires preserving and strengthening of local heritage and cultural identity.

All Directors originally hail from the /Karas Region and are well acquainted with the social challenges of the Region. Five of the Directors completed their Junior Secondary at the project school, which carries the weight of ownership and sustainability of the project.
Academic tutors used on the project specialize in the fields of mathematics, science and accounting. Furthermore, CAMP recognizes the importance of life skills projects such as i.e. gardening projects, tourism, cultural heritage projects and leadership courses

Leadership institutions partnering on project such as Africa Leadership Institute (ALI) are renowned for quality training and coaching of individuals to reach their potential.Implementing Partners such as Motor Vehicle Accident Fund, FNB Namibia, the Village Council of Bethanie and the Africa Leadership Institute depicts the sustainability of this noble project.
