History by year:

1998- The Bidvest Group acquired the Rennies Group of which Rennies Foreign Exchange formed part of
2000- The Bidvest Group acquired a full banking license for Rennies Foreign Exchange and renamed it Rennies Bank
2007- The Bidvest Group announced the name change of its specialist banking business, Rennies Bank Limited, to Bidvest Bank Limited.
2008- Bidvest Bank started promoting its lending and deposit taking capabilities and launched its flagship World Currency Card and FxPaynet foreign exchange products
2010- Bidvest Bank acquired McCarthy Fleet Solutions to form its Fleet and Asset Finance division
