Beam Group Unlocked and Empowered, is a private company that is owned by Kiernan Forbes,
otherwise known as the Multi-award-winning South African Hip Hop Artist “AKA”.

The colloquial use of the term “Beams” was coined by Kiernan himself on Social Media. This term alludes to bright lights, star power and ultimate success. This is the underlying
philosophy of the group and is the driving force behind all we do.
The concept of Beam Group was conceived in 2013, the idea being to form a synergistic group of
companies operating in the music, brand and media spaces. We are on a mission to deliver
organic, profitable and sustainable growth for our partners and clients by leveraging the tools,
resources and expertise at our disposal to connect our brands, as well as those of our clients, to the consumers.

With over 8 years of combined experience within the music and marketing industries, the vision was to create a premier brand management company, providing a focused array of interrelated consumer products and services.

Ÿ Supermega Shows This entity is focused on concert productions, making use of state-of-the-art technology to provide a premium concert experience. AKA himself is involved end-to-end in the creative process of these productions, from hand-picking the line-ups to selecting the venues and cities and crafting the motif to give the ultimate concert experience.

Ÿ Supermega Merchandise This entity is all about creating a luxurious and edgy range of branded clothing and accessories that will be distributed worldwide via various outlets, under the Supermega umbrella. The design process of these masterpieces is being overseen by AKA personally and includes items such as watches, shoes, sunglasses, t-shirts and many more.

Ÿ The AKA Foundation The purpose of this NPO is to allow for AKA to give back to South Africa. The activities are focused on providing financial assistance to those in need, whether it be to cover fees for education or seed money to turn their dreams into reality. It's all about making a tangible difference in the lives of the youth, who are the future of this country. The dream is to create a ripple effect of unlocking talent and empowering them to create a better South Africa.

Ÿ 3rd World This entity oversees the running of a content engaging, online media platform which streams various content covering music, fashion & social media. This is an international site, attracting a significant number of users on a daily basis. Every new song that AKA releases is made available on this site prior to further distribution. This site also serves as a vehicle for advertising.
