AQUAffection

AQUAffection was born out of the increasing pressure on our water sources in South Africa, driven by climate change and therefore changing weather patterns. South Africa is currently the 30th driest country in the world with forecasts predicting that we will be an extreme water scarce country by 2025. South Africans need to make a fundamental mind shift in the way water is consumed and we therefore need to manage this resource differently.
The company was started in November 2015 by two directors as a vehicle to assist in better utilising water sources by educating people, providing effective products and applying knowledge and skills.
Water is one of the most basic needs of all living organisms in order to survive, and we need to treat is as our most precious resource, without which we cannot survive. Hence we came up with the name AQUAffection, which is basically made up of the words AQUA (water) and Affection (fondness, love, care) – For the love of water…
Having the right approach towards water can have an economic, environmental, social and health impact and the aim of the company is to assist from a rural environment (where the need for water for survival is high) right through to industrial and commercial applications (where consumption is high as part of production/manufacturing)
We identified the need to manage and conserve water in South Africa, by providing high quality products and services related to water conservation.
AQUAffection Pty. Ltd is a registered company specialising in water conservation systems, filtration and recycling systems and water storage. The company focusses on three main areas broadly covered by the following categories:
• Domestic – The domestic applications are for new building projects, retro fitting old buildings and supplying solutions and knowledge to people to reduce their footprint on the environment.
• Industrial/commercial – This area has various application, and includes mining, manufacturing, warehousing and construction. They are dealt with on a case-by-case approach. On an industrial level, we assist large businesses to be more efficient and effective with a much smaller footprint on the environment, firstly by reducing consumption followed by a process to look for alternative source, recycling and reusing existing sources. We also assist them to comply with their CSR obligation – therefor closing the loop between rural and industrial application, by utilising funds from the one to mobilise the other – a Win-win. This leg also deals with big government projects.
• Rural – This leg of the company is still to be developed as part of the long-term growth plan and will be focussing mainly on community upliftment, assisting Corporate Social Responsibility projects, small business development and government/municipal projects in rural areas.
