Amazing Grace Children's Home Malelane

Background
The Amazing Grace Children’s Home is an organization that has been in existence for the past 24 years. It is based in South Africa, Mpumalanga Province. In Malelane it started as a shelter for street children and displaced children despite of their nationality, but then it was then registered as a place of safety by the department of social development. But also because of the high number of unaccompanied children and children that goes missing in the neighboring countries. In 2005 TDH-Mozambique approached the organization to start addressing issues of children coming from the neighboring countries after a number of children reported to be trafficked for child labour in the area at the surrounding area. Then as Amazing Grace we took it at their approached and addressed a number of cases of Trafficking in humans but because we did not have the legislations to address such cases back then, we did not have cases in court but only cases of child abuse were in court.
