City people who long for the quietness of the farm life, but still want luxury, has found it! Almar Exclusive Game Ranch in the Bloemhof district is in a malaria free area that caters for everyone that needs a perfect breakaway. here you can unwind and relax next to the pool while watching game drinking from the waterhole, or go on hike enjoying the peaceful surroundings, the clean air, blue skies and San rock art.

An old ruin dating back on to the time of the Anglo Boer War, 1898 to 1902, can be found on the farm and is perfect for taking photos. Night time is best where you can enjoy a braai or relax around a bush fire, listening to the sound of a jackal calling. Bird life and wildlife such as eland, gemsbuck, hartebeest, kudu, blesbuck, springbuck, ostich, waterbuck and zebra roam the farm.

The Ranche also caters for hunters and under the professional guidance of professional Hunter (PH) Louaan Grobbelaar, you can hunt different species of Plains Game on Almar Game Ranch. any other species will be available at the hunter`s request to suit individual needs. we are affiliated to PHASA ( Professional Hunters Association of South Africa) Shooting distances to vary from 30 meters up to 250 meters and there is a well-equipped butchery and cooling facilities available.

The Ranch offer spacious, luxury en-suite bedrooms with sliding doors open to the pool area. Air- conditioning, DStv, a bar fridge,coffee and tea making facilities, a lock-up safe and a hair dryer are all available. The honeymoon suite has an en-suite spa bathroom. There is also our luxury self-catering chalets with their own small bomas for barbecues, that can accommodate eight guests per chalet.

There is safe undercover parking, a pool area, a lovely small chapel and a function hall that form part of our facilities. The Ranch caters for weddings and there is a charming little Chapel with 4 large glass sliding doors that enable you to view game drinking from a waterhole. The Chapel has 14 wooden benches, a podium,and register table with 2 chairs, 3 pillars (for candles/flowers/decorations), a red carpet, prayer benches and a phonetic sound system with microphone. An old ruin on the farm is a perfect setting for taking photos of the bride and groom.

There is also a hall for conferences, functions and wedding receptions. Provided extra: 15 round tables, chairs, excelent sound system & microphone on stand, a proxima with extra large white screen, Whiteboard, Television, DVD Player, Flip Chart available. Conference Venue 25-75 People. For informal occasions, there is a Boma where guests can gather around a roaring campfire and enjoy clean air. Almar Game Ranch is situated between Bloemhof and Christiana on the N12/ Treasure Route, in the South Eastern corner of the North West Province.

Nearby attractions: The S.A. Lombard Nature Reserve, Bloemhof Dam, one of the largest dams is South Africa, Sandveld Nature Reserve, Nkolo Spa (+-40 km), Taung Heritage Site where tha fossilized skull of a young child was discovered by miners in1924 and the Big Hole in Kimberley (+-140 km).
