More about Aitsa Sewing School

Sewing is one of the oldest textile arts. During the Stone Age, archaeologists believe, fur and skin clothing was sewn together using, bone antler or ivory needles and “thread” made from animal sinew, catgut and veins.

Sewing has come a long way, from using animal materials, to the modern world where we use electric sewing machines, over lockers and steam irons.

Aitsa! Sewing School, recognises the need to learn a much needed lifelong skill and has a passion to teach the novice the skills and techniques of sewing.
