Ahmed Al-Kadi Private Hospital

The Ahmed Al-Kadi Private Hospital is a 164-bed hospital situated in the Mayville region of Durban.

The hospital design incorporates concepts of Islamic architecture such as water features, screens, arches and domes. Screens will provide privacy and ventilation, serve as a dust filter and most of all use natural light to create reflective patterns.

The hospital promotes an Islamic ethos that promotes the rights and respect of patients. Some of our operational elements that are incorporated include:

• Provision of Halaal food will ensure that Muslim patients have no doubt of cross contamination
•The use of patient attire that adequately covers the body
•The medical and surgical wards will be split into male and female only wards
•On site Ghusl Khana
•Preventative Medicine / Wellness
