Where we’ve come from…

Owner Des Hobart, moved down from Johannesburg in 2008 to begin work on the Fairmont Hotel in Zimbali. As a sub-contractor on that project, Des and his Team carried out almost all the timber work on not only the hotel itself but on the pool area too. During 2009 Des and his team also installed much of the Fairmont’s plastic lattice facade panelling on all six stories including the five villas in front of the hotel.

Des and his AfriDECKS team, most of which moved down to the North Coast with him from Johannesburg, have been together for almost 5 years and have undertaken numerous contracts in Ballito, Zimbali, Umhlanga, La Lucia and Lalucia Ridge as well as Prince’s Grant.
