The Space

The guesthouse is situated just off Bree Street - the heartbeat of the picturesque little town of Parys, in the Free State. On the premises there are 6 rooms, as well as a beautiful courtyard with a communal braai facility.

Each bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed; has a luxurious open-plan en-suite bathroom; and is equipped with a basic kitchenette (tea- and coffee-making facilities). Room x has an additional single bed.

Each en-suite bathroom comprises a shower, basin and toilet. Towels are provided.

The accommodation is self-catering; and is conveniently located in walking distance from various shops, bars and restaurants. For those looking to get out on the water, the Vaal River is right is on your doorstep. And for the golfers, the Parys Golf Course is a drive away from “6 Rooms on 6”. If you have your own vehicle, or are renting a vehicle, there is secure parking available on the premises.

Guest Access

The guesthouse is safe and secure with a key system to get in and out. Guests will receive one set of keys and will have access to all facilities inside the premises.

Interaction with Guests

My bookings manager, will meet and greet you and show you around on arrival. At any point during your stay, either of us will always be contactable and should be able to attend to any enquiries /or requests.

The Neighborhood

Parys is a charming town, rich in art and antiques. It is full of quaint shops, cafés and bistros.

If you are an appreciator of history, some of the local historical attractions include the Anglican Church (built of blue granite blocks, in 1915), the beautiful Dutch Reformed Church (dating back to 1899), and the Parys Museum - housed in the old magistrate's office opposite the Town Hall (built in 1904).

For the adventurous, the Vaal River also offers a variety of water activities.

Beyond the pleasure of your immediate neighborhood, 17km from Parys near Venterskroon, you will find the largest wild olive forest in South Africa.

Getting Around

It is advisable to have your own vehicle if you plan on travelling quite far or very often.

To/ from the airport
The airport is about 1h30 drive from the guesthouse. Private shuttles and car rental facilities are available.
