We’ve made it our mission to seek out things designed and crafted with a deep reverence for the time-honored journey of the artisan and artist, for the joy of made-by-hand, for the love of unique, contemporary objects that carry the mark and genius of the independent spirits that create them.

We are passionate about local - design, makers and business. Local is not just South African. It is a way of doing things that is part of the fibre of the community. It is sustainable, impactful and original.

Our goal is to make it easy and obvious to buy local, to make each purchase on our site an exchange of appreciation between maker and patron that is felt in neighborhood economies all over South Africa.
